Paul Hughes and Pavarotti - Our Resident Dressage Trainer

Paul Hughes and Pavarotti at Field House

We are very fortunate to be a base for one of the foremost dressage trainers in the area, Paul Hughes who is a group 2 rider, has ridden and trained to Grand Prix.  He currently competes our PSG and Intermediare I Oldenburg horse Pavarotti.

Paul organises trips to Germany and will personally advise prospective owners on new horses, facilitating their purchase and importation into England.  During these trips he trains with a top German dressage trainer and regularly trains with Carl Hester.

Paul started seriously competing at the age of 12, jumping BSJA ponies, before moving onto horses in both show jumping and eventing.  He became more and more interested in the training of horses on the flat and started concentrating solely on dressage riding and training.

Paul offers dressage training at all levels from Prelim to Advanced with many of his clients qualifying each year for British Dressage regionals and some getting to international championships.  He also trains event riders of all levels ranging from riding club to international riders.
